How to add a GPS Receiver on Android Tablet to enable a Real GPS Navigation System (Direct access to GPS Satellites, no need Internet, 3G or wi-fi connection):
First: You need a Laptop / Tablet GPS Receiver w/ USB cable. (hardware from "Anadigi GPS-206" series). It is a GPS Module with an Active Antenna. For better reception, it is better to have an External Antenna.
Second: Install a Android version GPS Map to your Android Table. Connect the GPS Receiver to a Powered USB Host port (OTG) of your Tablet and open your GPS Map software to set the correct parameter (Usually you need to select the "NMEA mode" & the correct "Baud Rate"). If your Tablet don't have a USB Host (OTG) port some Apps can help. For example, in Google Play you can find a very useful App "You are here GPS". Or you can contact your Tablet supplier to get the tool "Android Terminal Emulator" (for sophisticate user only).
(You can select any Android version GPS Map (software) that work on GPS Protocol NMEA-0183. 90% GPS Map work on both Baud-Rate 4800 & 9600 but some very old version GPS Map work on Baud-Rate 4800 only. )
Remark:
1: Running GPS Receiver on Windows, Mac, LInux & Android Tablet is easy but some Tablet cannot detect and connect the external GPS Data automatically. If your Android GPS Map keep telling "GPS not found" you can use the GPS App "You are here GPS" to enable the GPS data connect to your GPS Map. For sophisticate Android user you can use the "Android Terminal Emulator" but you should understand What is Serial Data, Com-port setting (virtual com-port), Baud Rate...,
2. Or you can select a Bluetooth GPS Receiver that cost more.

Remark:
A good external GPS Antenna is the foundation of a good GPS Navigation system.
A good external GPS Antenna capture more Satellites (max. 12) and give higher "3D position Accuracy".
(If you want to use the Laptop / Tablet GPS in a more sheltered position and leave the Antenna at open space then you need a longer Antenna Cable. The RF Antenna Cable can be extending to 30 meters or longer no problem (just like a TV Antenna Cable). You should never use a USB extension cable longer then 2 meters or you will found data lost and system malfunction.)
Tech News:
Windows 8.1 ~10 is an new OS but lack of backward compatibility. All old versions laptop GPS receivers (win7, xp ...) will not work on win8~10 laptop.
